M.A.R.R.I.A.G.E.--a Valentine's Day Poem by Naomi Elana Zener

Monotony of monogamy, you say? Not for us!
Asshole! Fight fair? Ha! Fights without fuss.
Regret. Resent. Relent. A relationship endured.
Rinse and repeat: life with children--we've matured.
I love you my darling. I do, I do,  in spite of it all, we're stronger.
Ailments of genitalia--thanks marriage--a concern no longer.
Geriatric together with dentures we will one day be.
Excitement is wedlock. Sex? No thanks, let's watch TV.
