M.A.R.R.I.A.G.E.--a Valentine's Day Poem by Naomi Elana Zener

Monotony of monogamy, you say? Not for us!
Asshole! Fight fair? Ha! Fights without fuss.
Regret. Resent. Relent. A relationship endured.
Rinse and repeat: life with children--we've matured.
I love you my darling. I do, I do,  in spite of it all, we're stronger.
Ailments of genitalia--thanks marriage--a concern no longer.
Geriatric together with dentures we will one day be.
Excitement is wedlock. Sex? No thanks, let's watch TV.

  3. Quite an interesting post! This year we celebrated Valentine’s Day at party venues in Houston where we got engaged two years ago. It was a great feeling to attend party over there. All our engagement memories flashed back. Truly, it was an amazing day!
